No visit to Georg Baselitz is alike.
Even at 83 years old, this world famous painter continues to multiply the series of paintings, inventing new formal solutions for current and older themes - even at the risk of exposing himself.
Whoever pulls down his pants, he said on a previous visit, should not hide his shame.

Only one constant remains.
At exactly noon, Baselitz walks the few meters that separate his studio from his house overlooking the Amersee, a house designed by Herzog & de Meuron.
For him, having lunch with guests means enjoying a glass of Riesling with white pudding, crusted roast and, if you're really lucky, a pie made by his wife Elke.
