US actor and entertainer Bill Cosby, convicted of sexual assault, is not released on parole.

The parole commission in the US state of Pennsylvania has spoken out against it, reported US media, citing the committee's written decision on May 11th.

Accordingly, Cosby did not meet several conditions.

The authority complained, among other things, that Cosby did not take part in therapy sessions for sex offenders.

You would have expected this decision, said Cosby's spokesman Andrew Wyatt according to "Deadline.com".

Cosby insisted on his innocence from the start and rejected all allegations.

He continues to hope that his conviction will be overturned or that a new trial will be approved.

Cosby has been in prison for sexual assault since 2018, where he has to serve a minimum of three and a maximum of ten years in prison.

Numerous previous appeals and early release applications had been denied.

He's pending another appeal at the highest court in the US state of Pennsylvania.

More than 60 women had accused Cosby of various types of sexual assault.

In the process, however, there was only one case from 2004. The jury saw it as proven that Cosby had made a woman helpless with pills and then sexually coerced.
