Salami on call: Particular danger for children - acute kidney failure is imminent
Infants, young children, the elderly and people with a weakened immune system in particular can develop more severe disease with bloody diarrhea.
Acute kidney failure can rarely occur in a second episode of the disease a few days after the onset of diarrhea, especially in small children.
