Brad Pitt has secured joint custody of the children, in what is a defeat for ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
In fact, the actress was pressing for the exclusive custody of five minor children - Maddox is 19 and not subject to the judge's decision - and asked that Pitt be guaranteed to see them only under supervision.
The judge, however, sided with Pitt at the end of a legal dispute that lasted months and during which many witnesses, experts and psychologists were heard.
