Welcomed by applause, the coffin of Carla Fracci
, the étoile who died on May 27, whose funeral is being celebrated today,
arrived in the churchyard of San Marco
.
Present at the funeral ceremony are among others the Minister of Cultural Heritage Dario Franceschini, the mayor Beppe Sala, the superintendent of the Scala Dominique Meyer as well as her husband Beppe Menegatti, her son Francesco with his family.
On Carla Fracci's coffin a large pillow of white flowers.
On the sides, the banners of the Municipality of Milan, the Metropolitan city and the Region, as well as the wreaths sent by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella and the Prime Minister. Many people who wanted to be present at the ceremony, many remained outside. For this reason the doors of the church were left open.
