The Valentino Haute Couture Fall / Winter 2021-22 collection will be presented on July 15th in Venice.
This was announced by a note from the maison where it is specified that the decision was made with the creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, "seizing the opportunity of the delay in production due to unprecedented times, to create something ambitious and unique".
"One of the most challenging aspects of my work in these unprecedented times - explains Piccioli - was having to reprogram the place for my Couture shows.
The current "travel with the imagination" mode we find ourselves in has pushed me to dream bigger. My next Couture collection will be titled Valentino Des Ateliers and the general approach to this project has a lot to do with the name itself. I challenged myself to orchestrate a symphony of different souls, minds and creative inputs. All these energies brought my vision to Venice, a city genuinely and spontaneously generates vibrations on art, theater, music, architecture, cinema and everything that has to do with creativity. That's why it was a natural decision to opt for this idea. I am a designer, a fashion creator and need to display my creations in specific frames. Venice is the perfect setting for the Valentino Des Ateliers collection ".
The event will be streamed live on the Federation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode platform, as the show is included as part of the French Fashion Week, in addition to digital channels. A selected number of guests will be invited to Venice, in compliance with safety regulations. (HANDLE).
