Europeans: 28 Azzurri called up by Mancini, out of Kean

Italy coach Roberto Mancini has called up 28 Azzurri for the second phase of the meeting in preparation for the European Championship starting in June. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 30 - The Italy coach, Roberto Mancini, has called up 28 Azzurri players for the second phase of the European Championship preparatory meeting starting in June.

Compared to those called up for the first phase in Sardinia, which ended with a friendly win over San Marino 7-0, Mancini gave up on Kean, Cragno and Lazzari, among others.

Emerson Palmieri and Jorginho, involved in the Champions League final, will join the group on Tuesday 1 June.

By midnight of that day, the coach will formalize the definitive list of the 26 Italian players called up for the European Championship.
