The health situation continues to improve.
This Friday, Public Health France counted 2,571 patients hospitalized in critical care following a Covid-19 infection, against 2,677 Thursday, and 3,104 last Friday.
A total of 14,801 patients are currently treated in the hospital.
They were 15,283 Thursday, and 17,272 last Friday.
Public Health France, however, deplores 81 new deaths due to the new coronavirus.
At least 109,900 people have died from Covid-19 since the start of the epidemic in France.
The declining number of deaths was confirmed in the weekly INSEE report established on Friday.
While 2,150 deaths were recorded daily on average in January, then 2,040 in February and just under 1,900 in March and April, this number fell to 1,730 deaths per day on average over the period 1 to May 24 - date of the latest figures available - according to the National Institute for Statistical Studies.
Over two billion injections worldwide
More than two billion doses of vaccines against Covid-19 have been administered worldwide, according to an assessment carried out by AFP on Thursday, and several states have decided to open vaccination to people over 12 years old, while ministers G7 Health officials met to discuss dose sharing with poor countries.

In Africa, affected by a new increase in cases, vaccine deliveries are almost at a standstill, warned the World Health Organization (WHO) on Thursday.
Only 2% of Africans to date have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
Of the six countries that have not yet vaccinated, four are located in Africa: Tanzania, Burundi, Chad and Eritrea.
