(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 04 - The Earth Overshoot Day at a global level is still ahead of last year.
This year, the day the Earth ran out of natural resources predicted for all of 2021, falls on July 29, compared to August 22 last year.
This was announced by Councilor Susan Aitken, leader of the City Council of Glasgow, on behalf of the Global Footprint Network and the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency.
With eyes on Glasgow for this year's Cop26, the World Conference on Climate Change, Aitken explains: "We have the opportunity here in Glasgow to show the world what we are doing, joining together as a city to show real change. , to respond to the climate and ecological emergency. Let's put our planet first and do #MoveTheDate together ".
