The following 3 puzzles will not require you to have extensive knowledge of mathematics, any formulas or solve complex equations, but only thinking outside the box.

In fact, two of them showed up in Hong Kong elementary school exams - so if they can stand it - we'm sure you do too.

Try a waist and approach the task.

Challenge 3 Puzzles: How many of them will you be able to solve?

(Photo: ShutterStock)

First riddle:

The university accepts only students who have successfully completed the preparatory studies and have never missed a class.

In the preparatory studies, 500 students studied, 360 of whom graduated successfully and 275 never missed a class.

How many students will be admitted to the university?

Only one of the following answers is correct.

Select:

  • At most 135

  • At least 135

  • At most 125

  • At least 275

And the answer is:

At least 135.

Second riddle: What is the parking space number that covers the car?

We'll tell you soon ... try to think a little more

And the answer is:

87.

Believe it or not, this mathematical question in fact does not require any mathematical thinking.

All you have to do is flip the picture and find that there is a fairly simple series of numbers in front of you to solve.

Third riddle:

(Photo: ShutterStock)

Rumi and Michelle picked apples and oranges and put them in two boxes - one for apples and the other for oranges.

Unfortunately there was no room left in the crates for all the fruit so they took another crate and put the rest of the apples and oranges in it.

They packed the crates, stuck a sticker on each one and wrote down what was inside: one apple, two oranges and a third both.

Unfortunately it turns out they made a mistake and each crate got the wrong label.

They do not have time to open the crates and find out what is inside them, but they can put a hand in through a small opening and pull out only one fruit.

They can also do this only once and for only one crate.

Do not ask us why, this is the riddle.

This is where you get into the story: you need to pick a crate and take out one and only one fruit so that you can arrange the labels correctly.

Which box should you choose to correct the mistake: in the box that says "apples", in the box that says "oranges" or in the box that says "apples and oranges"?

Think carefully.

Which box will you choose?

  • In the box that says "apples"

  • In the box that says "Oranges"

  • In the box that says "Apples and Oranges"

  • It can not be solved !!!

115 participants

And the answer is:

Since we can only pick one fruit from only one box, the key to the solution is to choose the box that says "apples and oranges".

The explanation is this: we know that all the labels are wrong so the box that says "apples and oranges" cannot contain both.

If we pull fruit out of this box and we get an apple - it will be the box where the apples are.

That is, the box that says "apples" actually contains oranges and the box that says "oranges" contains apples and oranges.

If we take fruit out of this box and get an orange - it will be the box where the oranges are.

That is, the box that says "oranges" actually contains apples and the box that says "apples" contains apples and oranges.

Do you understand?

A little confusing, we know, but give the token time to fall.

Well, so how many puzzles did you answer correctly?
