(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 06 - The second part of the Netflix show 'Lupin', a modern reinterpretation of the classic by Maurice Leblanc, with an amazing and ironic Omar Sy as the protagonist, will debut on June 11, giving fans an ending that was been delegated. Assane Diop (Sy), who in the first five episodes stole the powerful Pellegrini of that same series for which his father was unjustly incarcerated, in the last episode is found chasing his teenage son in a heart-stopping ending.

"Assane - explains Omar Sy - has problems both being a son and being a father. When he focuses on his father's revenge, he acts a bit childishly and shirks his responsibility as a father, and when he spends time with his son,he forgets to a certain extent his quest for revenge ".

The original French series is back on 11 June in all the countries where the service is active, which was the first post in the Top 10 of the streaming giant in more than ten markets. The re-visit of the adventures of the famous gentleman thief, with the superstar of Almost Friends, has become one of the most watched (and appreciated) titles on Netflix, ready to satisfy the expectations of its audience with 5 new episodes. In the cast, also HervéPierre, Nicole Garcia, Clotilde Hesme, Ludivine Sagnier, AntoineGouy, Shirine Boutella and Soufiane Guerrab. The series was created by George Kay in collaboration with François Uzan and is directed by Ludovic Bernard (episodes 6 and 7) and Hugo Gélin (episodes 8, 9 and 10).

Omar Sy plays a particular version of Lupine, determined to take revenge on the people who framed his father for a serious crime when he was just a kid.

Many years later Assane will use Maurice Leblanc's book on Lupine, which his father gave him to take revenge. The key to the success of this series for Omar Sy is certainly the choice to make an adaptation of it: "In the character of Maurice Leblan there was the spirit of his time: his stories were so imbued with it that they are a very clear photograph of the society of that time. sayings: let's do the same thing, let's sink him into the present ".
