Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced the birth of their second child, Lilibet 'Lili' Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
This was reported by various American media.
"It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, announce to the world they welcome their daughter," announced a spokesperson. The baby was born on Friday, June 4 at 11.40 am at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California. It weighs over three pounds. Both the mother and the child, the spokesman added, are doing well and are already home. It is therefore explained that the child is named Lili in honor of her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, whose nickname in the family is Lilibeth. The name Diana, then, is in honor of Harry's mother, Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales.
