Good news follows the next: singer Sarah Engels and soccer player Julian Engels have just married, now the two have announced that they are expecting offspring. "For the past few months we've been keeping a very special secret in my stomach," wrote the 28-year-old on Instagram on Sunday. "We are so infinitely happy and grateful that we would now like to share this happiness with you." It is an indescribable feeling to have "the most beautiful gift on earth" within you.
The singer posted a wedding video of the two on her account: The couple declares their love in the open air.
"This video moves us to tears every time, because this day shows exactly who and what we are," writes Engels.
In her Instagram story, she shared photos of the positive pregnancy test and herself in a bikini - her comment: "I felt like I exploded last week".
She is happy that she no longer has to hide it.
Numerous fans commented below the video and congratulated the two on their pregnancy.
Appearances now again as Sarah Engels
With the wedding, the couple had also decided on the family name Engels - Sarah's maiden name.
She said she wanted to perform under this name again in the future, even if she was now better known as Sarah Lombardi.
Engels was married to the singer Pietro Lombardi from 2013 to 2019, and they have a son, Alessio, who is now becoming a big brother.
They met at “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”.
In 2011, Engels took second place there.
