From personal hygiene (34%) to household appliances (19%), passing through all that consumed in the kitchen (27%). These are the circumstances in which more water is consumed. Although the Italians, and in particular the new generations, are proving increasingly sensitive to environmental issues, water is a good that is still the protagonist of waste and little attention during its daily use. Let's find out from the experts what are the 10 tips and tricks easy to adopt to safeguard one of the most important assets of our planet, whose saving brings benefits both from an economic and environmental point of view on the occasion of World Environment Day (in English World Environment Day or WED), established in 1972 by the United Nations General Assembly on the occasion of theestablishment of the United Nations Environment Program and is celebrated every year on 5 June. World Environment Day 2021 has as its main theme the

"Restoration of Ecosystems".

The goal, in fact, is to prevent, stop and reverse the damage inflicted on the ecosystems of the planet, trying to move from the exploitation of nature to its healing. Water, soil, air and mineral resources are natural resources on which our quality of life is based. The over-exploitation to which they are subjected, as numerous scientific studies confirm, is likely to get worse, as the world population is constantly increasing. What causes the greatest waste of water in the home? More water is used than necessary because "we prefer to let the water flow for a matter of convenience, rather than constantly opening and closing the taps", underline the experts involved in a study by In a Bottle (www.inabottle.it ),to explore the practices to be followed to protect and save water. Always linked to water waste, others (29%) point the finger at the lack of appliances or accessories that allow less water use: in fact, experts recommend using the dishwasher with a full load instead of washing the dishes by hand. a class A washing machine rather than one with a lower energy class, and to replace the old shower head with one that significantly reduces water consumption without compromising comfort. 28%, on the other hand, believe that the blame for waste is due to "an excessive use of the resource even when it is not necessary". Some examples? Taking a bath instead of a shower, letting the water run while brushing your teeth or shaving your beard, wash your hair more times than necessary
