(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 06 - At the height of a quarrel he allegedly killed mardre with a stick and then, on the stairwell, a neighbor who had rushed to hear the screams of the woman. When he got off the road, he stole a car with which he tried to escape, overwhelming other cars and even a cyclist, who was fortunately left injured. The double murder took place at lunchtime on a quiet Sunday in Trevignano Romano, a town on the outskirts of the capital.
The carabinieri stopped shortly after the alleged responsibility for the crime. Andrea Bocchini, 34, is now in hospital where he was taken for a mandatory health treatment. The alarm went off around 1pm.
The carabinieri of the Bracciano company immediately arrived on the spot and stopped shortly after the 34-year-old while trying to escape aboard a car that he had stolen from a motorist shortly before, sowing panic on the streets of the town.
