(ANSA) - BEIJING, JUN 07 - China registers a trade surplus of 45.53 billion dollars in May, slowing both on the consensus of analysts of 50.5 billion and on the 61.9 billion of the same month of 2020, confirming however the resumption of the economy. The data released by the General Administration of Customs, which compare with the base of the last year conditioned by the Covid-19 crisis, show an increase in exports - for the eleventh month in a row - of 27.9% per year against +32.3 % in April and the + 32.1% expected by the markets.
Imports, on the other hand, increased by 51.1%, against the + 43.1% in April and the + 51.5% forecast on the eve of the day. (HANDLE).
