Loser in the final vote of "Koh-Lanta, the secret weapons" Friday on TF1, the fighter specialist in MMA, 36 years old, reconsiders her

The MMA champion and former boxer lost the final of "Koh-Lanta" against Maxine, former gymnast.

Very criticized on social networks in particular for having used a secret weapon which led to the elimination of Vincent, the 36-year-old fighter assures that the game of TF1 will allow her to advance.

You did a great performance on the posts, even without winning.

Did you believe in victory?

LUCY.

Just being on the posts was my trophy.

I wanted to savor this moment, remember everything, even the pain at that moment was appreciable.

From the start, I have not stopped surprising myself in this adventure, so I believed in it.

But I knew that, facing Maxine, it was going to be a real challenge ...

You will remain the iconic player of the "secret weapons" since you have found two.

Is it a source of pride?

When I discovered these secret weapons, I found myself quite methodical in my way of doing things.

My ability to orient myself, to find things, to change the game has been my great pride.

It earned you violent criticism on social networks, how did you experience it?

At the very beginning, very badly.

I received an avalanche of messages when I eliminated Vincent, who was the darling of the season.

It was extremely tough morally because there were some very nasty things about me.

Fortunately, I was surrounded by good people, between my family and the production that supported me.

Me, I just played.

It's Koh-Lanta's peculiarity to eliminate people.

This episode revealed what is worst in humanity but also what was best because, three days later, I received a lot of messages of benevolence.

From left to right: Jonathan, eliminated on the posts, Denis Brogniart, the winner Maxine and Lucie, finalist.

On the spot, what was the hardest part?

When we say

hell, it's other people,

that's what I experienced.

Hunger was hard to deal with, but socially, I have never taken so much on myself.

At one point, I had to slap my fist on the table because my kindness was mistaken for weakness.

I found myself in a very difficult situation where I had to choose between my values: loyalty or the need to be respected.

There, I will take a week of hindsight to learn the lessons of this experience, so that it also helps me to evolve.

There is a therapeutic side to "Koh-Lanta".

As soon as you arrived, during the second show, you were presented as a very athletic champion and you are expected to perform well in the events ... You regret that this was not the case?

The problem is, I am not trained to walk on beams, hang from ropes or move through mud!

I am to fight and there was no fighting on Koh-Lanta.

I was also with very strong people, Laure was a revelation.

We must not take away the merit of others.

I was presented with a record of champion and therefore judged more severely than others.

I prefer to be an outsider and moreover that's what I became at the end of the adventure.

What was the most difficult to deal with when you returned to France?

I binge, I ate all the time.

It lasted several weeks.

I experienced the lack of food like starvation and it traumatized me a bit.

Then, physically I was a little weakened.

I had to wait two months to resume training pretty much properly.

To read also "Koh-Lanta": one of the worst seasons in the history of the show?

Professionally, where are you?

The health crisis was complicated for me.

The organization for which I am fighting no longer organizes anything in Europe and that is what gave me most of my income.

I do a bit of coaching, I do a bit of journalism too, I comment on UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) events on L'Équipe, for example, and I work for the Fight Nation streaming platform.

You have also joined the executive committee of the French boxing federation.

What is your role?

I was elected to a communications position.

The goal is to decide on the communication policy to be established until the 2024 Olympics. At the federal level, boxing has been losing momentum a little and it is about improving all that.

Sarah Ourahmoune

(Editor's note: silver medalist at the Rio Olympics in 2016)

also joined the committee, we really want to add a more modern, more dynamic touch.

Would you be ready to make a new "Koh-Lanta"?

Yes, but not right away.

There, I need to rest, to structure things in my life more.
