Open-air festival, teleworking, indoor restaurants, sports halls ... We take stock of the many effective flexibilities

From Wednesday, June 9, the French will be able to sit down longer at the restaurant, run under the neon lights of the sports halls, return to the office much more regularly.

Beyond these highlights of the third stage of deconfinement, a multitude of reliefs should frankly accelerate the return to normal life.

We take stock.

Trips

The curfew goes from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

These two extra hours offer real breathing space for restaurateurs, cafes and their customers.

To go out without time restrictions, you will have to wait a little longer: the curfew will be completely lifted on June 30.

France will also relax the rules for entering its territory.

All fully vaccinated Europeans will be able to enter France on presentation of a paper vaccination certificate or health pass validated by the European Union.

Until June 9, people over 11 years old will still have to present a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours to return to French territory.

Restaurants and cafes

Cafes and restaurants will once again be able to welcome dining room customers, but with a 50% level for the moment and tables of up to 6 people.

The terraces regain their full capacity, always with tables for a maximum of 6 people.

Cinema, auditorium and theater

Like restaurant owners, cinemas and theaters breathe a little more.

With the curfew shifted to 11 p.m., evening sessions are making a comeback.

And the gauge increases considerably: it goes from 35% of the capacity of the rooms (and 800 people maximum) to 65% and a ceiling of 5,000 people.

Places that reopen

Covered sports establishments (sports halls, indoor swimming pools, gymnasiums, etc.), trade shows and exhibition fairs, indoor leisure activities (bowling, games rooms, escape games, etc.) and casinos with contact activities (cards, casters, etc.) are now open.

However, they must respect a tonnage of 50% of the authorized workforce.

In sports halls, athletes must respect a distance of two meters between them.

For those who exercise outdoors, groups increase from 10 to 25 people, and contact sports can resume.

Finally, dancing in conservatories and schools will restart with a gauge of 35% of the class.

Long-awaited open-air seated festivals and outdoor sporting venues, such as stadiums, will be allowed to receive spectators, with a ceiling of 5,000 people.

As with trade shows and fairs, the health pass must be used for more than 1000 people.

For the open-air standing festivals, a little more patience, they will take place from July 1st.

The fairgrounds are also reopening their doors, respecting a perimeter of 4 m² per customer, to the great relief of the fairgrounds who demonstrated for a rapid reopening.

After long months of closure, the spas, hammams, saunas and thalassotherapies can finally welcome the public, while respecting a gauge of 35%.

Weddings, funerals and places of worship

In places of worship and during ceremonies (marriage or PACS) at the town hall, it is now necessary to leave one seat free in two, against three until now.

From this Wednesday also, the party rooms and multipurpose rooms in seated configuration will be able to accommodate 65% of the authorized workforce, with a ceiling of 5,000 people, instead of 35% and a maximum of 800 people still in effect until June 8.

As for funeral ceremonies outdoors, the gauge goes from 50 to 75 people.

Markets and shopping centers

Covered markets, shops and shopping centers receive more people, with a physical distance going from 8 m² per customer to 4 m².

This rule is not valid for open markets.

Museum, monument and library

As with markets and shops, these cultural establishments will be able to accommodate twice as many people: the gauge goes down this Wednesday to 4 m² per visitor, against 8 so far.

In libraries and media libraries, every other seat will have to be left free.

Teleworking

This Wednesday marks the great return of employees to their workplace, with the flexibility of teleworking.

Until Tuesday, the rule in business is to systematically resort to teleworking, as soon as the activity allows it.

"From June 9, companies will have to determine, after discussions between management and employee representatives, a minimum number of days of teleworking for each employee," explains the government on its site.

This arouses the anguish of thousands of employees, accustomed to the comfort and calm offered by teleworking.

Higher Education

The rule since May 19 has not changed: until the start of the September school year, 50% of students are allowed to return to the site. On the other hand, higher education establishments have the possibility of carrying out their exams face-to-face or remotely, according to the terms of December 2020 and January 2021. In September, they should reopen under normal conditions.
