(ANSA) - BEIJING, June 07 - Kim Jong-un reappeared in the public after 29 days at the politburo meeting held last week, urging an "urgent" meeting of the plenum, the third of 2021, in order to address the "urgent problems" that the Country faces in the era of the pandemic.
State media KCNA and Rodong Sinmun provided only a brief account of the meeting on Saturday, in which the supremoleader talked about the results achieved so far by the January Workers' Party congress, stressing the need to convene "a plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the party" for " resolve outstanding issues, urgent problems for the economy and people's lives ". The regular development of state affairs "faces many challenges and restrictions due to the prevailing unfavorable objective and subjective conditions and environment," added Kim, "positively" evaluating the country's ongoing efforts. Ilpolitburo also spoke of the "structural reorganization of the departments of the party's Central Committee", the KCNA specified.
Sitting next to Kim, in the photos released by Rodong Sinmun, are four of the leader's closest collaborators, JoYong-won, Choe Ryong-hae, Ri Pyong-chol and Kim Tok-hun. (HANDLE).
