At least 30 people died in a train accident in southern Pakistan on Monday.
Dozens of other people were also injured, the police said.
A passenger train derailed near Daharki in the northern part of Sindh province before being hit by an oncoming train, a railroad spokesman said.
According to the information, about 1,100 passengers were on board the two trains.
Many people are still included, said the railroad spokesman.
Rescue workers would work on site.
Cell phone recordings from the scene of the accident showed scattered metal debris and several overturned green wagons belonging to the Pakistani railway company Pakistan Railways.
Train accidents are not uncommon in Pakistan due to ailing rails and a lack of investment.
The tracks were laid under British colonial rule around a century ago and have hardly been renewed since then.
In October 2019, at least 75 people died when a train caught fire on its way from Karachi to Rawalpindi.
