This may be a detail for you, but it still means a lot.
The mind-blowing images broadcast in a loop on news channels and on social networks of Emmanuel Macron being slapped on the sidelines of his official trip to Tain-l'Hermitage, in the Drôme, have airs of déjà-vu ... for fans of the excellent political series “Black Baron”.
And for good reason, in the third and final season broadcast in February 2020 on Canal + (and still available on MyCanal), exactly the same misadventure happened to the Head of State, Amélie Dorendeu, played by Anna Mouglalis.
In an almost premonitory scene, the president sets out to meet a demonstration chanting "Dorendist dictatorship!"
And she tries to engage in a muscular dialogue with her overexcited opponents, all banners outside.
"I think I got your message right, but we could discuss it, right?
», Loose the president in her deep voice.
"You are a thief of power, the power belongs to the people and you stole it", retorts a particularly virulent adversary to him before engaging in a conversation which degenerates quickly… until a well-felt slap.
Unlike Emmanuel Macron, the character of the series does not immediately return to the scene, but is evacuated by car by the security service, all sirens blaring.

Macron slapped: "When stupidity is combined with violence, it is unacceptable", reacts the president
The most disturbing thing is that beyond this sequence, the scenario of “Baron Noir”, imagined by Éric Benzekri, co-creator of the series, former Essonnian PS activist close to Jean-Luc Mélenchon and Julien Dray, takes prophetic airs, one year from the next presidential election.
The president in question is, in fact, very inspired by Emmanuel Macron, a technocrat who came from the left but who managed to transcend the divisions and was elected thanks to a political poker blow in just a few months.
She finds herself at the heart of the episodes, in the grip of an increasingly virulent opposition which reproaches her for not being enough to the left while the end of her mandate arrives ... In front of her, her most serious political opponent, a certain Christophe Mercier, coming from civil society and very “yellow vests”, intends to carry the voice of the “people” and put an end to “the dictatorship of the elites”.

This last and final season of this French creation where the political landscape was meticulously described, takes, with this slap given to the president in reality, even more depth.
