For several months, he and his fellows have invaded the park of the Montrose residence in Cannes.
“They scattered all over the neighborhood,” explains Juan, the caretaker.
“We caught several but in the meantime, it has become a big family!
He adds.
These rabbits are not unanimous among residents, especially those who live on the ground floor: “they defecate everywhere, they eat all the flowers and basil that we plant on our terraces. The day before yesterday, I found one in my kitchen, 8 days ago, another under my bed, I let out one of those screams! ”Remembers Martine. The caretaker explains that the rabbits ate 3,000 euros worth of flowers in this well-kept park. “The problem is that it happens very quickly,” adds the resident. The gestation period of a rabbit is one month.
The younger ones rejoice and have fun chasing them. "I find rabbits too cute, I try to catch them because I want one", says little Heloise. “Four little ones got run over on the road, it made me sad,” she adds. Residents still note that there are fewer and fewer rabbits, but for those who remain, the hunt continues.
