(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, JUN 9 - The head of the Pentagon LloydAustin has signed an internal directive to concentrate the efforts of the Defense Department in facing China as the number one challenge of the country.
Austin took the recommendations from the Dragon Task Force he created in February.
"The initiatives I am promoting today fit into the broader US government approach to China and will contribute to the development of the national defense strategy we are working on," he said.
