(ANSA) - ROME, June 10 - A 52-year-old woman died in Australia from a rare and serious case of thrombosis which, according to the drug authority, is "likely" to be linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The Guardian reports it.
This is the second case of its kind in Australia after the death of a 48-year-old adaprile woman.
Both had suffered from a form of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), a rare side effect of the Anglo-Swedish Covid vaccine that experts around the world have been studying for months.
In Australia the cases evaluated as TTS following the AstraZeneca vaccine are so far 48, with 35 confirmed and 13 probable. Of these, 31 have been discharged from the hospital, 15 are still in hospital, including one person hospitalized in serious intensive care conditions, and two have died. (HANDLE).
