(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 10 - British Health Minister Matt Hancock defended himself today before British parliamentarians against the accusations of the former adviser to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Dominic Cummings, regarding the management of the Covid pandemic.
First, Hancock made it clear that he had never "lied" to the Prime Minister about nursing homes or any other issues, as Cummings accused him. How many of the thousands of coronavirus victims in centers for the elderly the minister confessed that "they weigh a lot. And they always will". "We tried to create a 'protective ring' around nursing homes, but 'we were limited' by the lack of data, such as a list of all centers in the UK.
