In honor of the 100th birthday of her recently deceased husband, Prince Philip, the Queen has planted a rose named after him.
"She looks beautiful," said the monarch during the planting action at Windsor Castle according to the British news agency PA.
Prince Philip died in Windsor in April just weeks before his birthday in the presence of his family.
He would have been 100 years old on June 10th.
The "Duke of Edinburgh" rose has deep pink flowers with white lines.
It was bred by the Royal Horticultural Society and planted for Queen Elizabeth II.
The roses will also be sold - and a few pounds each will be donated to an organization set up by Prince Philip to help disadvantaged children.
