(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, June 10 - The American branch of the Brazilian colossus JBS, the largest meat supplier in the world, has paid a ransom of 11 million dollars (in bitcoin) to a group of Russian hackers after suffering a cyberattack.
The chief executive of the branch, Andre Nogueira, told the Wall Street Journal.
Previously, the company that operates Colonial Pipeline, the largest US pipeline, had paid $ 4.4 million to another gang of Russian pirates but the FBI had recovered more than half the sum.
