Covid-19 in France: 68 new deaths, continuous reflux in critical care

2021-06-11T06:48:57.829Z

The positive trend is confirmed on all fronts, confirming the prospect of weeks of "tranquility" on the front of the epidemic.

The French found a little more freedom on Wednesday.

They have the right to go out until 11 p.m., can have lunch or dinner indoors.

They found the gyms.

It was accepted that act 2 of deconfinement would be much more noticeable than the first, which could raise fears a few weeks ago about the consequences of these reopening in the management of the epidemic.

These fears are all but dispelled.

At least for several months.

While we must always insist on the need to respect barrier gestures and social distancing, the dynamics of the epidemic are now very favorable.

The latest figures released on Thursday by the health authorities further confirm this trend.

Nearly 15 million French people definitively vaccinated

At the hospital, the latter count this Wednesday 2245 patients suffering from a severe form of the disease requiring care in critical care services. They were 2326 Wednesday and 2677 seven days ago. More generally, French hospitals count 13,090 patients with covid-19 this Thursday. Here too, the development is largely positive. 13,526 people were hospitalized Wednesday, against 15,283 last Thursday. The epidemic continues to take lives in France, however, even if the peak was crossed several weeks ago now. In the past 24 hours, 68 new deaths have been recorded in France.

Since the start of the vaccination campaign in France, 29,444,218 people have received at least one injection (i.e. 44.0% of the total population and 56.1% of the adult population) and 13,369,751 people have received two injections (i.e. 20.0% of the total population and 25.5% of the adult population). 14,998,320 people have a complete vaccination schedule.
