Advertising makes commitments for the ecological transition

Agathe Bousquet, President of Publicis, and Arnaud Leroy, President of Ademe, reported to the executive.


“Twenty years ago, advertising experienced its digital revolution.

Today, the sector is at the heart of an environmental revolution which will require investments, ”

explains Agathe Bousquet, President of Publicis France.

The French are wondering about the role of advertising in the face of paradigm shifts in our society.

Among its detractors, the Citizen's Climate Convention had made the ban on advertising its hobbyhorse, accusing it of advocating overconsumption and polluting products.

Faced with pressure from public opinion and politicians in recent months, the Ministries of the Economy, Ecological Transition and Culture have entrusted Agathe Bousquet and Arnaud Leroy, president of the Environment Agency (Ademe), the mission to reflect on the collective framework that will allow the industry to switch to more societally engaged and more virtuous advertising to contribute to the ecological transition.
