That Reiner Haseloff is rather conservative is already indicated by his always accurate clothing style.
Maybe that's why Saxony-Anhalt's Prime Minister doesn't let his wife talk into fashion when it comes to fashion.
"He'll discuss the tie with me at most," revealed Gabriele Haseloff in an interview with the "Mitteldeutsche Zeitung" in Halle.
He does not want any clothing suggestions, according to the 67-year-old wife of the CDU politician.
The newly crowned election winner is his own.
"If you were to style him like a movie star, he wouldn't feel comfortable and you would notice that straight away."
Elsewhere, however, Reiner Haseloff is clearly more progressive, according to his wife.
So he helps with the household.
"For example, he always takes out the garbage and recently he cleaned up the garage," she said in the interview.
The two live together in Lutherstadt Wittenberg.

Even if Haseloff is not very open to innovations when it comes to clothing, the couple seem to have organized themselves well and trustingly in other areas.
It is no secret in the CDU, "that he only let himself run again as the top candidate because I said yes to it," she said in the interview.
Gabriele Haseloff was happy that she had approved the renewed candidacy.
She cannot even imagine the alternative.
“It wouldn't have been a relaxed retirement for him if this choice had gone wrong with the AfD growing stronger.

Haseloff's CDU in Saxony-Anhalt had surprisingly clearly won the state election on Sunday before the AfD.
Haseloff is therefore likely to remain Prime Minister in the coming legislative period.
But her husband does not get advice on a possible coalition from her, said Gabriele Haseloff.
