Coluche, the story of a great guy

On June 19, 1986, on a small road in the Alpes-Maritimes, a "fucking truck" put an end to an incredible fate: that of Coluche, born Michel Colucci 41 years earlier, star humorist for years 1970-1985 but much more than that.
This life, a “real novel” considers the journalist and writer Philippe Labro, France 3 tells it in a pleasing documentary of more than two hours: “Coluche, a formidable time”.
To evoke this magnificent clown, Gérard Jugnot, a friend of the early years of the café-théâtre, agreed to play Monsieur loyal. He is not alone: almost all the friends are there, like Gérard Lanvin, met from the café de la Gare, Thierry Lhermitte, Claire Nadeau, Michel Boujenah, Richard Gotainer, Maryse Gildas, but also politicians like Jean Glavany or Jacques Attali… They deliver their testimonies, intimate or more distant, on the comic, the actor, the man.
The archive images allow us to rediscover Coluche's talent, off and on stage, and to laugh while seeing the “Schmilblick” or the “Arab CRS”.
Alternating chronological and thematic, the documentary addresses all facets of the comedian, without obscuring the controversies over the "vulgarity" of the one who was a star of the stage, the record, radio and TV, cinema, a time candidate for the presidential election of 1981 and finally founder of "Restos du cœur" in 1986.
In the end, two hours of small pleasures, necessarily a little nostalgic, a little moving, where we immerse ourselves in a whole era, those of the Giscard years.
With the irresistible desire to conclude like Gérard Jugnot with a "we miss you, motherfucker!"

Retired Ambassador, Octave Saint-Cast (Bernard Verley) is preparing to organize a party to celebrate his golden wedding anniversary with his wife Alix (Hélène Vincent). Big worry: suffering from Alzheimer's disease, she forgot that she had been married for fifty years and coos with Farhad, a former Iranian soldier treated in the same center as her.
Their children Dora (Alice Taglioni) and Iradj (Babak Hamidian) must resolve to take them both to the party.
Obviously, nothing will go as planned, especially as Mossad agents are watching to thwart an attempted attack against one of the invited personalities.
The ubiquitous situations parade.
It is about memory, love, filiation, between French and Iranian cultures.

Cirkafrika first stands out for its orchestra, recruited from among the best musicians in Dar es Salaam, the economic capital of Tanzania.
It gives rhythm to each number to the sound of the great African hits of the last decades, from Touré Kunda to Youssou N'Dour via Mory Kanté.
We are also carried away in a whirlwind of colors, costumes, electric guitars, koras, brass and somersaults.
And even life-size rubber animals, from elephants to giraffes.
The real surprise is to see to what extent these soloists, from different African countries, bring a flamboyant, moody style to classics.
Rarely have we seen such an elegant juggler or a balancing unicycle so showman on his wheel.
And an equally sensual hula-hoop specialist.
The Chinese mast revisited by the leopard men makes it take off.
And the Zulu dance, in homage to South African miners, a vital gesture, reminds us that the circus can tell anything, even the story of a people.
