(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 12 - The government is committed to "offering Italian operators, especially those from the South, new tools to facilitate access to available support" for the promotion of Made in Italy abroad. This was stated by the Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio speaking at the webinar "The Italian System for the Internationalization of Campania companies" from the Interporto di Nola.

Di Maio recalled that with the export agreement an "exceptional" volume of resources was provided for the promotion of Italian companies abroad, equal to "5.4 billion euros in 12 months", but in the South only 10 % of companies have requested it and this gap must be bridged, he stressed.

Among the tools available there is, for example, the portalexport.gov.it, launched last September, an interface for accessing all the tools and incentives made available by the Farnesina, Ice, Simest, Sace, the Chamber system and now also by the Regions, he recalled Di Maio. Then again the "Digital Temporary Export Manager," which allows SMEs to receive a contribution of 20,000 euros on an expense of at least 30,000 for managerial consultancy provided by professionals and companies specialized in export and digitalization. The minister also mentioned the "Smart Export" advanced academic training pilot project for businesses and professionals.

On the export front, Campania is a happy island in the south, with 11.5 billion in 2020, but in general the South is suffering from delays on "training and technological innovation", which the strategy on internationalization adopted by the government and the Farnesina intends to fill, Di Maio pointed out.
