Three players and a member of the coaching staff of the Bolivian national team tested positive for Covid-19 on the eve of the start of the America's Cup: the Bolivian Football Federation announced.
"After carrying out the tests on the Bolivian delegation located in Brazil, three positive cases were detected among the players and one in the coaching staff", said the Federation in a statement.
Positive people were "in good health and isolated from the group" - he added - and "all the procedures established by the health protocol" were immediately implemented.
The Bolivian selection, coached by Venezuelan César Farias, has been in Goiania since Wednesday, where they arrived after the match in Chile (1-1) as part of the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
Yesterday the Venezuelan federation announced that eleven members of its delegation, including eight players, tested positive.
