After an online edition last year due to a pandemic, the Annecy Animation Film Festival (Haute-Savoie), the largest event of its kind in the world with a film market, begins this Monday in the presence of the public.
The Festival, which is celebrating its 60th birthday, will also offer many events around this anniversary, and we will be able to enjoy it with dozens of films screened.

"Josée, the tiger and the fish"
For its opening film, Annecy has chosen a magnificent Japanese adolescent melody… which pays homage to France. Because her heroine, Kumiko, is a fan of Françoise Sagan, and was renamed "Josée" in honor of one of the characters of the novelist. Paraplegic, Josée refuses to leave her room, seemingly grinding black, when in reality, fascinated by the underwater world, she spends her time drawing fish. "The Wolf People"
It is the most beautiful animated film of the last three years!

"Spirit the Indomitable"
The event screening, one of the most anticipated lakeside premieres, will take place this Tuesday: DreamWorks unveils the sequel to “Spirit, the Plains Stallion”, which will be released this summer.
We find the thoroughbred hero of the original film there, and it is a celebration for the studio because it was in 2002 one of its first animated feature films which contributed to its fame.

"Luca"

"Crossing"
Added at the last moment to the list of feature films in competition, signed by the Frenchwoman Florence Miailhe on a screenplay co-written with Marie Desplechin, "La Traversée" follows the dangerous journey of two migrant children who fled their country at war for a world full of promises.
