Maya has been very good all weekend, recovering positions in every race after having been the protagonist of not particularly exciting qualifying. The progress of the first girl in the history of the Ferrari Driver Academy is evident and it is now reasonable to expect to see her fight for a place in the points at every race.

The front row anticipated the start and so both Sebastian Montoya and Victor Bernier were penalized with five seconds to add to the final race time. Almost immediately it was necessary to enter the Safety Car and at the restart three cars came into contact in turn 3. Maya benefited from this situation to climb to thirteenth place, always staying out of trouble, even at the cost of giving up a position to the Catalan arrembante. In the chaotic final Maya has recovered two more squares, starting the last eleventh lap. During the final round, however, Tim Tramnitz, who was on the track without a rear wing after a contact with Francesco Braschi, went off the track allowing the girl from the Iron Dames by Iron Lynx team to enter the top ten. After the end of the race Braschi was penalized for the accident with Tramnitz and so Maya even climbed to ninth place to crown in the best way a Sunday that the young driver will not easily forget.
