This week, Benjamin Netanyahu was supposed to celebrate the half-jubilee of his first entry into the Prime Minister's Office.

Instead, he will leave the high office in Israel, after a dozen consecutive years of single rule.

The achievements and failures are recorded exclusively in his name.

I knew Netanyahu personally well at the height of his political career - after his loss to Ehud Barak, after Ariel Sharon founded Kadima and Netanyahu was a defeated opposition leader who heads a party with a dozen seats.

He then wanted to internalize and understand where he was wrong.

Do mental arithmetic.

Hear the other side.

To play.

To be open to the opinions of non-Yes-men around him.

To show that he is not as demonic as the image that has taken root among the academic and journalistic elite, who have accused him of incitement that led to the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin.

Netanyahu approached me through the journalist Hanoch Daum and asked that my wife and I open our homes to a series of closed evenings to which senior Israeli journalists, newspaper editors and news studios, heads of economy, government and economy, successful and famous artists and creators in Israel, super tycoons - belonging to the Israeli Their negativity regarding Netanyahu's man.

In my personal conversations with him then, I wondered what left him with an inflexible obsession, a tireless persistence in Israeli politics.

After all, he is as talented as a demon, insanely smart, a charismatic genius who could make his home millions of dollars a year, and did.

He just has no other choice.

Netanyahu explained to me about vision and mission, doing it out of love for the people and the state - that they are all true.

But being a psychiatrist who specializes in the intricacies of the human psyche, I realized he just has no other choice.

Man is the landscape of his homeland, and man's personality is a derivative of genes and relationships with those around him in the early years of his life.

Netanyahu was and remains "Yoni's brother", the myth of his life and death, the commander of the revered General Staff patrol, the salt of the earth, the beautiful bloody and the title, the man felt that women worshiped him and men adored.

A tremendous hunger for success and applause

Netanyahu was and remains "the son of Professor Ben Zion", a scientist and academic, a world leader in his field who did not receive tenure from the Hebrew University because "without freedom and MKI" by Mapai and Ben-Gurion ruled the elite of academia.

Ben-Zion did him a terrible injustice and he was exiled to foreign provinces and remained indignant, and rightly so, for many years.

When Netanyahu was prime minister, his father gave a press interview in which he said, among other things, that "he can be a good foreign minister, but by no means a prime minister."

This statement then made headlines because it expressed dissatisfaction with his performance.

Most of all, this statement shows Netanyahu's shortcomings.

Seemingly, he looks like a creamy, handsome boy from Merhavia who grew up in a perfect childhood, but the apparent reality is not necessarily what the person feels.

These shortages create a tremendous hunger for success and applause.

Without them he has no quality of life and existence.

He must constantly mirror (reflect) his surroundings in the rays of warmth, love, success and applause, otherwise he will always feel "June's least equal brother", his father's blackest and least valued sheep.

Netanyahu's advantages are also his disadvantages

Deficits create a drive. Failure is not an option and failure is like death. I did not meet a person who must and wants to be a prime minister like Netanyahu, until I knew Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett personally. Due Diligence: For years my friend Yair has written the introduction to the book "Psychiatrist on the Couch". Together we established frameworks for his daughter Yaeli and the children of Yotam and Keren, the most charming autistics in the world. For the Naftali Bennett campaign, I was recruited professionally by Moshe Klughaft. Google entry: Naftali Bennett videos at the psychiatrist: Learn how not to apologize.

Netanyahu's advantages are also his disadvantages and vice versa. Many years in power have made him very lonely and he feels he can really only trust his wife and son (and perhaps hence the root of his mistake and the reason for his downfall). After all, state witnesses came from his own home. "Lieberman was his CEO, Bennett the head of the bureau, Shaked his personal secretary, Lapid the finance minister in his government, Gantz his partner in the unity government, and they all all joined together in one slogan that united them in strong glue despite huge ideological abysses,"Just not Netanyahu. "

Must be a constant reflection of his surroundings in the rays of warmth, love and applause.

In his previous defeat, Netanyahu went and did a house check, he was able to understand where he was wrong and change.

At dinners at my house he charmed the people of the opposite camp.

Listen to them.

Revealed as a sharp-minded, humane and sensitive leader and at the same time with incredible charisma.

A real fall.

A very, very strong man who will probably never need psychological psychiatric treatment.

To the slanderers - he stood and withstood much harder pressures than you can imagine, and could for everyone.

My recommendation: Relax

If he asked for my opinion, I would tell him to relax. Retire. You deserve to rest. You have worked for us 24/7 for many years. Rest in your spectacular poolside home in Caesarea. Would he listen to me? I doubt. It will be very difficult for him to leave Balfour and the Prime Minister's Office and he will try to reinvent himself.

Netanyahu needs to understand that a head of state who has been in power for a dozen years and isolated from the people under heavy security, is losing an objective perspective. In his suspicion and loneliness he will listen to the advice of Ahithophel (of his family and close advisers) and personally hurt smart people who may (in the opinion of these advisers) pose a threat to him and find it difficult to disagree with the government. Will Netanyahu be Japanese and understand at his age, who is close to heroism, what he did wrong? God has the solutions. Will he let go and get some rest? Time will tell.

I am confident that at the moment he is not mentally shattered as one might mistake.

I am sure that Netanyahu truly and sincerely believes that he has been horribly wronged by people and the public is forced to do good.

He felt like his revered father who had been exiled from his natural place and had become a scoundrel.

This defense mechanism helps him greatly to cope and survive and unites him more than ever with his wife Sarah and children.

They feel "we are in front of the whole left" and only together can we and them win.

I'm sure they've motivated as if time has stopped reigning for 25 years.

The hatred in front of them unites them and gives them superpowers, and apparently Netanyahu did not say the last public word.
