Switzerland: poll rejected referendum on pesticide ban

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 13 - Swiss voters have rejected proposals to ban artificial pesticides, according to the first projections of the results of today's vote.

According to polls by GFS Bern, 61 percent of voters rejected two initiatives that would have imposed a nationwide ban on synthetic pesticides within 10 years and outlawed imported generics produced using these components.
