The good weather has been a long time coming this year - but now the summer heat is coming with power.
The new week will begin in large parts of Germany with very warm weather and lots of sunshine.
For example, the German Weather Service (DWD) is forecasting temperatures of up to 30 degrees on Monday for the Rhine, Saar and Moselle.
Only in the north would there be fields of clouds in the afternoon.
But it remains dry (the prognosis can be found here).
In the course of the next few days, the high »Yona« will bring more and more warmth to Germany - and will gradually drive the thermometer readings higher.
Tuesday is already warmer than the day before.
According to the meteorologists, temperatures rise to values between 30 and 32 degrees, especially in the southwest.
"In addition, the sun shines from morning to night from an almost cloudless sky."
In the north and in the middle, the day is also warm in summer, but clouds must be expected.
But it stays dry even on Tuesday.
Increasing risk of thunderstorms
According to the DWD, temperatures will rise throughout the republic on Wednesday.
In the south and west, midsummer temperatures should be 30 to 34 degrees.
In the north and east, too, the thermometer climbed to 26 to 30 degrees in summer.
It stays a little fresher on the coast.
Nationwide, the sunshine is only clouded by a few high cloud fields, as the DWD said.
On Thursday, 30 degrees will be reached or exceeded across Germany.
"In the large river valleys and in metropolitan areas, a sweaty 35 degrees are sometimes measured, so that a strong heat load is to be expected," said the DWD.
This is reinforced by the sometimes tropical nights.
In the west and southwest, the temperature no longer locally falls below 20 degrees at night.
From Thursday on, the risk of thunderstorms also increased in the west.
