(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 14 - It soon becomes clear that Margaux (Emmanuelle Béart) is not just any woman, she has a culture and sensitivity and this worsens her loneliness as a fifty-year-old widow.

Hence the search for a return to life through feelings or just sex to get out of the winter in which she finds herself relegated.

This, in short, L'ETREINTE, works first by Ludovic Bergery, already at the 12th Festival of Les Arcs and now at Rendez-Vous, a traditional Roman encounter between French productions and Italian audiences.

"Margaux is a woman who finds herself free, without family, without children, in complete solitude. But she is a courageous woman, she does not become a victim of this loneliness, she is like a sleeping beauty who has the courage to find the vital energy to go back to life "says Béart in Rome. What is Margaux from L'ETREINTE doing? He resumes his German studies at a provincial university, where his half-sister has moved, and makes friends, despite his age, with a group of students including Karl (NelsonDelapalme), Lise (Marie Zabukovec), Harold (Sandor Funtek) , Wilfried (Arthur Verret) and above all Aurélien (Vincent Dedienne), the only one to collect his most intimate confidences.

Margaux will then try, amid a thousand awkwardness and shame for a body no longer young, to rise again having first an adventure with a teacher (Tibo Vandenborre), then through a dating app for lovers of sex only where she meets YannickChoirat to whom she also bonds emotionally.

Falling in love? "At ten or fifty, love is always the same - explains the actress born in 1963 -. Of course a woman in her fifties is looked at in a different way than a man. But in Margaux's case it is easier to love than to be loved, as you see it punctually in the film ". (HANDLE).
