Bufala Dop, podcast with Servillo and the chef Marziale

The Protection Consortium launches new projects to tell the Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP; and it does so on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary (13 July 1981 - 13 July 2021) of the foundation. In fact, the "MozzaCast" arrives, the first podcast on buffalo mozzarella from Campania DOP with the voices of the actor and musician Peppe Servillo and of the chef Rosanna Marziale (ANSA)


The Protection Consortium launches new projects to tell the Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP; and it does so on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary (13 July 1981 - 13 July 2021) of the foundation. In fact, the "MozzaCast" arrives, the first podcast on buffalo mozzarella from Campania DOP with the voices of the actor and musician Peppe Servillo and of the chef Rosanna Marziale, a new storytelling for the sector: 5 episodes that will be published on the main podcast platforms and on the social channels of the Consortium, produced by podcaster Damiano Crognali. The first episode is already on air also on the official website www.mozzarelladop.it with a surprise: an "impossible interview" to the Bufala, freely taken from a story by the writer Antonio Pascale, on the model of those made by Italo Calvino,Umberto Eco and other intellectuals in a successful Rai radio cycle in the 1970s.



The goal is to tell the millenary history and authenticity of the Bufala Dop, which the Consortium has kept and promoted for forty years now. How is the bright white of the Campania DOP buffalo born, what are the aromas, flavors and colors of the land it comes from? "MozzaCast" will lead listeners into the world of buffalo mozzarella, which stimulates the imagination of the best chefs, thrilling consumers all over the world. The digital community is also the protagonist of the #ilovemozzarelladop photo contest, to tell stories of the present and the past through memories and photos related to mozzarella. The best shots will be awarded by the jury chaired by the photographer Alessandra Farinelli. The initiative is aimed at all fans of the Bufala Campana on Instagram.Special issue also of the official magazine of the Protection Consortium, "Bufala News Magazine", entirely dedicated to the anniversary.



A collector's number, available online on the Consortium website. The first 40 years are an opportunity to take stock of its history and this is what has been traced in the magazine, but always with an eye to the future. For the occasion, 40 messages of good wishes were published, arrived from chefs (with 20 recipes based on buffalo mozzarella from Campania DOP), actors, writers and artists who have a special relationship with Bufala Dop. On the cover the original illustration by the designer Valentina Scannapieco who reinterprets the spring of Arcimboldo "in a buffalo key".
