Today, the Ministry of Education issued a decision that included the distribution of the books of the national series of curricula in English and French to all grades in an experimental manner and the books of the new curriculum for the subject of national education for the ninth, second and third secondary grades and Islamic education for the third grade of secondary vocational for the next academic year.

In its decision, of which SANA received a copy, the ministry stated that the distribution of the new experimental curriculum for grades (first to eighth) for the English language and for grades (seventh and eighth) for the French language in the governorates of Damascus, Homs, Hama, Tartous, Latakia, Daraa, Sweida, Aleppo, the city center and some areas of Damascus countryside, while studying the old curriculum For the same classes in the governorates of Idlib, Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, Hasaka, Quneitra and some areas of Damascus and Aleppo countryside

For the ninth grade, the experimental curriculum is taught according to the decision in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside, Homs, Hama, Tartous, Lattakia, Daraa, As-Suwayda, Aleppo and Quneitra, while the old one remains in the governorates of Idlib, Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor and Hasaka.

The experimental curriculum for the first year of secondary school is taught in the English language in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside, Tartous, Lattakia and Aleppo, while the remaining governorates of Idlib, Raqqa, Deir Ezzor, Hasaka, Quneitra, Hama, Daraa, Homs and Sweida are based on the old curriculum, and for the French language, the experimental curriculum is taught in the classrooms of Damascus and its countryside, Latakia, Aleppo, and the old curriculum in Idlib, Raqqa and Deir Ezzor. Al-Hasakah, Quneitra, Hama, Daraa, Homs, As-Suwayda and Tartous.

As for the second secondary grade, the ministry explained that the experimental curriculum is taught only in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside and the rest of the governorates on the old curriculum, and for the third secondary grade, the experimental curriculum is taught in both languages ​​in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside, Aleppo, Tartous and Lattakia, while the governorates of Idlib, Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, Hasaka, Quneitra, Daraa, Homs, Sweida and Hama remain on the old curriculum.

With regard to the National Education Book for the ninth grade, the old curriculum is taught according to the Ministry’s decision in the governorates of Idlib and Deir ez-Zor, while the new curriculum is taught in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside, Homs, Tartous, Lattakia, Sweida, Hama, Quneitra, Daraa, Aleppo, Raqqa and Hasaka, and the National Education Book for the second and third year secondary studies the old curriculum in the governorates of Idlib and Raqqa Deir ez-Zor, Hasaka, Quneitra, Daraa and Al-Jadid in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside, Homs, Tartous, Lattakia, As-Suwayda, Hama and Aleppo.

According to the decision, the new curriculum from the Islamic Education Book for the third vocational secondary grade is taught in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside and Aleppo, while the old curriculum is taught in the governorates of Idlib, Deir Ezzor, Hasaka, Quneitra, Daraa, Homs, Tartous, Lattakia, Sweida and Hama.
