It is a crop in order.
"No decision has yet been taken" on the end of wearing the mask outdoors, reacted this Monday morning the Ministry of Health after Jérôme Salomon, the Director General of Health, hinted this Monday morning on RTL, that the obligation could be lifted on June 30, at the same time as the lifting of the curfew.
“No decision has yet been taken regarding the wearing of the mask outdoors in the coming weeks, which therefore remains the rule.
The scientific experts will have to give their opinion during the month of June on an evolution of this rule ”, specified the Ministry of Health.
"If all goes well, we will lift a number of constraints on June 30 if conditions allow", Jérôme Salomon replied a few hours earlier on RTL.
If he did not directly mention wearing the mask in his answer, the question was precisely on it.
Wearing a mask will remain mandatory indoors, he added.
And “the barrier measures will remain: hand washing, distances and being careful in large gatherings”.
"We will say it immediately"
It is one more "quack" in the rules concerning the wearing of the mask outside.
Already in mid-May, the Ardèche, the Creuse and the Seine-et-Marne had announced the end of the wearing of masks outside… before retreating a few hours later, the government wishing for a national measure.
At the beginning of May, the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, had outlined the end of wearing the mask, he hoped, for "this summer".
“When the date that will allow us to calmly consider the end of barrier gestures and the end of the mask outside arrives, we will not wait 24 hours.
We will say it immediately.
And I sincerely hope that it will be this summer, ”he said on Europe 1.
