(ANSA) - NEW YORK, JUN 14 - The ashes of Japanese Prime Minister Hideki Tojo, one of the minds behind the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, were thrown into the sea: after his execution to death for war crimes in 1948, Hideki Tojo he was cremated and his ashes scattered in the ocean by an American military. This is what some American documents reveal.
"I can confirm that I have received the remains, of having supervised the cremation and having personally sprinkled the ashes in the sea" of various war criminals, wrote the military Maj Luther Frierson in one of the documents found in the National Archives and dated 23 December 1948. (ANSA) .
