The cut was made around 3 p.m., as usual.

The second wave

Due to the impact of the outbreak that began after Easter, Argentina is currently the

fourth country

with the highest number of new infections in the world.

In the last 7 days -between Monday 7th and Sunday 13th-, the average per day was

24,107

, an average that has been falling after the latest restrictions.

In fact, over the weekend it was overtaken by Colombia, which now ranks third in the world.

India and Brazil remain in the first two places.

When looking at the incidence with respect to the population, the country is fifth globally, with

533 infected daily per million inhabitants

.

The four that exceed it (Seychelles, Uruguay, Maldives and Bahrain) have less than 4 million inhabitants, so their rates soared more before the new outbreak.

The death data are worrying as they registered a strong rise.

In the week prior to today's report - between Monday 7 and Sunday 13 -

4,135

were reported

;

that is,

590

per day.

It is the third highest average of fatal cases registered by the country due to covid-19.

The daily average of Argentine deaths is the third highest globally.

In this case, it is also surpassed by India and Brazil, which are around 3,500 and 1,900, respectively.
