(ANSA) - NAPLES, 15 JUN - Giuseppe Conte arrived in Naples for his day in support of the candidate for mayor Gaetano Manfredi. Conte is in the Nea gallery in Piazza Bellini and has met the unemployed of the 7 November Movement and is now talking to the Whirlpool staff.
"We have reported to Conte the reasons for the unemployed and precarious 7 Novembredi Movements, we will go to all the asindigent candidates, because the elections pass and the unemployment remains".
This was stated by Eddy Sorge, one of the leaders of the movement, at the end of his meeting with Giuseppe Conte and Gaetano Manfredi, candidates for mayor in Naples. "We have been coming - he said - for seven years of struggle and we asked Conte what he thinks about public utility projects and wages for the unemployed, but also about our ideas for the redevelopment of the suburbs from Bagnoli to Scampia and for overcoming the block of renewal organic plants for example on Asia which now has very few sweeping employees who are covered by temporary workers.
We need a mayor in Naples who listens to the claims.
Conteci listened and took on the responsibility of bringing our ideas to Rome. "Conte then met the Whirlpool employees who closed the dj factory in Naples." It cannot be - explains Antonio Accurso of Uilm Campania at the end of the meeting - a disputes that we forget.
We must do the utmost as your government has done, this government must also demonstrate authority over the multinational and must block all layoffs for all disputes that have not been resolved.
