Maturity 2021, the last (we hope) of the 'Covid era'. In view of Wednesday, June 16, when, at 8.30, the first candidates will begin to take their oral exam in the presence, today important tasks have been carried out in the schools, starting from the extraction of the letter to establish the calendar of the oral exam. Yesterday was the commission's inauguration day; during the plenary meeting, the modalities for conducting the interviews were identified, it was decided which of the two sub-committees will start first, the order between external and internal candidates and the calendar for convening the candidates based on the letter drawn by lot.

This year there are about 540,000 students who will take the state exam, of which about 522 are internal and almost 18 thousand are external. The Commissions will be 13,349, for a total of 26,547 classes involved. Like last year, the commissions are chaired by an external president and are made up of six internal commissioners.

The oral exam will start from the discussion of a paper whose topic has been assigned to each student by the class councils. The interview will continue with the discussion of a text already being studied in the teaching of Italian language and literature, with the analysis of materials prepared by the commission with discussion of conceptual issues characterizing the various disciplines. There will be space for the exposure of the experience carried out in the Pathways for transversal skills and orientation. The indicative duration of the interview will be one hour.

The academic credit will be awarded up to a maximum of 60 points, of which up to 18 for the third class, up to 20 for the fourth class and up to 22 for the fifth class.

Up to 40 points will be awarded with the oral exam.

The final evaluation will be expressed in hundredths and it will be possible to obtain honors.

Finally, the interviews will take into account the information contained in the student's curriculum, which includes the academic career, but also the activities carried out in other areas, such as sports, volunteering and cultural activities.

On the eve of the exam, the graduates, especially the girls, appear very stressed: for 7 out of 10 their preparation was ruined by the dad.

The boys, on the other hand, do not seem to be concerned about what is happening on the vaccine issue: 9 out of 10 do not regret having been vaccinated.
