Thanks to Norwegian law.

When talking about a past model who is also a politician in Israel, it often occurs to Orly Levy Abacis, who has certainly managed to leave a powerful political impression and almost completely forget her history with the fashion industry. But now it turns out that she is not the only one who has made this transition from the world of modeling and fashion to the Knesset. The change government that was sworn in this week, has brought to consciousness and front new working souls, one of whom, it turns out, is a former deputy beauty queen. So it's nice to get to know and change the name - Limor Magen-Telem is a new Knesset member in Israel on behalf of the Yisrael Beiteinu party and a model in the past, with impressive titles and achievements.

Magen Telem's entry into the Knesset was made possible thanks to the "Norwegian law", under which government members can resign from the Knesset and thus allow those on the list to become Knesset members themselves.

In the Yisrael Beiteinu faction, Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Negev and Galilee Oded Forer, and Hemed Amar, who serves as Minister of Finance, resigned.

This move allowed Limor to become a Member of Knesset herself, and we delved into its history to get to know the woman who was hugely successful on the fashion side, and decided to abandon everything in favor of public action.

Magen-Telem, who lives in Haifa, celebrated her 50th birthday last March and today is a lawyer by profession and has a master's degree in law.

She came to this world after experiencing the fashion and modeling industry in her youth and decided not to continue.

The first step in the field of modeling was at the age of 17 when she participated in the beauty pageant of Israel and came in second place, when she lost the title "beauty queen" to Shirley Ben Mordechai.

That same year, 1988, she came in fifth place in the Miss Europe pageant, called "Fourth Deputy," a moment that opened the door for her to various campaigns and productions.

Today she claims that her favorite style of dress is tailored suits, and probably not by chance.

This is the item that most characterizes the fashion of politicians.

One can only hope that the choice of suits will not be overly tie-dyed and boring, but one with a fashionable twist and a wink to the past occupation.

Not active enough on social media.

But after a few years, as mentioned, she realized that she was not interested in continuing to develop this career.

She moved into the world of law and in recent years has served as legal counsel in the Migdal Haemek Municipality, of the local planning and construction committee as well as of external companies.

Prior to that, she was also an external director at Bank Hapoalim as well as at Sinal Mellal Fiveway.

She also tried election after election to make the move and enter the Knesset - and now, thanks to Norwegian law, the move has been made possible.

In 2019, she said that if she did succeed in entering the Knesset, she intended to fight in the Knesset to reduce the gaps between the center and the periphery, to promote the rights of the self-employed and women's rights.

This year, upon entering the Knesset, she said that "I come with motivation and a sense of mission to the Knesset, in order to promote many issues, and I will be attentive to the voices and needs of the public."

Magen-Telem is a mother of two children.

Her eldest son is Idan Telem, an active YouTuber with more than half a million subscribers on his channel called "Inde Game".

Unlike White, who dominates social media taps, his mom is a little less present and doesn’t care about maintaining an active Instagram, Facebook or Twitter page.

To be honest, we would expect that with such a son we would get to see much more of her on social media - but in the meantime it is not happening.

If you ask us, this is also one of her missions for the upcoming term, and along the way will not hurt some "TBT" in which she shares moments from past glory as a leading model.
