LCI: Ruth Elkrief approached to replace Darius Rochebin at 8 p.m.

2021-06-18T09:12:30.353Z

INFO LE PARISIEN. The former star journalist of BFMTV should present the 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. segment at the start of the school year. Other big changes

It's the period of musical chairs at LCI. In this game, Ruth Elkrief is doing very well. According to our information, she is strongly expected to embody the 8-10pm at the start of the school year. The former star journalist of BFMTV would thus take the place of Darius Rochebin, for a meeting around an interview with the woman or the man of the day and a campaign meeting. The latter's image was for a time damaged by a case of sexual harassment at RTS, his former employer, but an internal investigation by the Swiss public service cleared him in April. The Swiss presenter would keep an important exposure on weekends - from Friday to Sunday - on the same slice.

During the week, the rest of the evening would be entrusted to Éric Brunet.

The former star voice of RMC, who has not found his audience this season with "Direct Brunet" from 10 am to noon, should be propelled from 10 pm to midnight, against Maxime Switek on BFMTV.

These are not the only changes expected on the re-entry grid of the news channel, which is being reorganized in view of the presidential election.

The management would like to be inspired by the BFMTV model with longer time slots and duos of journalists.

A real puzzle for the broadcaster who has to piece together a puzzle with his more or less popular house faces.

A daily for Christophe Beaugrand

So it will also move in the morning. In place of Pascale de La Tour du Pin, who returns to BFMTV, LCI management has planned to entrust its morning to a new tandem: Hélène Mannarino and Stefan Etcheverry. The first is the rising face of the TF1 group: TMC has already given it a prime time and it will present several “Grand quizzes” this summer on the front page. He is less identified with viewers. Some followed him on iTélé, when he was covering sports news, before joining BFMTV to whom he resigned on Tuesday morning.

Another plan considered: appreciated on "the Info Brunch" on weekends, Christophe Beaugrand should be promoted on weekdays on the 9 am-noon slot. Julie Hammett, at the head of the morning weekend, would hold the rope to form a new pair with him. LCI is still giving itself a few days to refine its grid.
