(ANSA) - SAN PAOLO, JUN 16 - Brazil has recorded 2,468 deaths due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, reaching 490,696 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass). Also yesterday, the country had 80,609 new cases, bringing the total number of infections 17,533,221.
The moving average of infections in the last seven days continues to rise and stands at 70,870 (yesterday it was 66,913); deaths are also showing an upward trend, with 1,986 victims.
The lethality rate remains at 2.8% and the mortality rate is 233.5 per 100,000 inhabitants. (HANDLE).
