E3 2021: Key takeaways from Nintendo Direct announcements

2021-06-19T09:10:23.391Z

As usual, it was through an online and live conference that Nintendo unveiled its announcements at E3. What to remember

At the heart of E3 2021 which took place exclusively online, the Nintendo Direct broadcast was no exception. Nintendo was eagerly awaited, mainly with the announcement of a Nintendo Switch Pro which was ultimately not unveiled. We mainly remember the announcements concerning the return of major franchises of the manufacturer, such as Mario Party Superstars, Mario Golf: Super Rush, WarioWare: Get It Together, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania or the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is scheduled for release in 2022. In the meantime, fans will be able to wait with the Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword remaster which arrives in July, but also with Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda, which includes Zelda, Zelda 2 and Zelda: Link's Awakening, and which will be available in November. Finally, Metroid Dread had the effect of a bomb: the title is still in development, but it should still be released at the end of 2021.

Nintendo Switch: Full of games from third-party publishers

The Nintendo Switch will host a large number of games offered by third-party publishers in the months and years to come.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Square Enix, Two Point Campus, Two Point, Just Dance 2022 from Ubisoft or Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, from Bandai Namco, will invest the Nintendo console, which thus expands its catalog in a way generous.

If all of these games will be available on other media, the fact that Nintendo is welcoming more and more titles from third-party publishers is certainly good news for the owners, present and future, of the Switch.

So it was a colorful E3 for Nintendo!
